If you’re not sure which companies are relevant to you, we recommend:

  • Researching companies in advance – review the list of organizations participating in the event, learn about their areas of activity, and the opportunities they offer.
  • Being open to new opportunities – even if a company doesn’t seem directly related to your study program or future profession, a conversation may open unexpected career paths.
  • Visiting an individual career consultation before the event. The university’s career consultant will help you identify your interests, goals, and suggest which company stands might be worth visiting. Register for a career consultation through your account in the Academic Information System (AIS).

The event program will soon be published on the KTU WANTed Career Days website. Follow updates also on KTU’s official social media and mark the activities you are interested in in advance.

During the event, you will easily find all company stands by using the event map. You can find the map on the KTU WANTed Career Days website or at the Info Spot during the event.

Start simply – smile and introduce yourself: say your name, what you study, and which year of studies you are in. You can briefly mention your interests or what kind of job or internship you are looking for.

If you’re not sure how to begin, just ask:

You don’t need to memorize a speech word-for-word – the most important thing is to be curious, open, and show genuine interest in their activities.

Sample questions to start a conversation:

  • What does your company do?
  • What internship or job opportunities do you offer to international students?
  • Which areas or projects are currently the most relevant in your company?
  • What skills do you value the most in new employees?
  • What does a typical student internship program in your company look like?
  • Do you offer students the opportunity to take part in team projects or mentoring programs?
  • What advice would you give to a student who wants to start a career in your field?
  • What aspects help a candidate stand out the most when applying to your company?
  • How does your company foster community and teamwork – do you organize events or initiatives?
  • What does the selection process for internships or job positions look like?
  • What do you personally like the most about working at this company?

On the day of the event, participants will have access to four different areas:

“WANTed meets WANTed” area | „Žalgiris“ Arena, ground floor | 10:00–16:00

At the WANTed meets WANTed networking area, participating companies and organizations will introduce themselves, be ready to answer your questions, and may even offer job or internship opportunities. Stop by and take the first step toward your desired career!

“WANTed Talks” conference | „Žalgiris“ Arena, amphitheater | 11:30–14:30

This year’s WANTed Talks conference theme is “Resilience in Uncertainty.” Professionals from various fields and special guests will discuss how to stay strong in today’s uncertain world: how to adapt to change, act in the unknown, resist propaganda and misinformation, and maintain inner balance even when the direction isn’t clear.

Inspiration and Respite spaces | 10:00–16:00

In these spaces, you can participate in interactive activities, explore, learn, try out new experiences, and relax. The Inspiration Zone will also feature the “Make Your CV WANTed” area, where you can receive professional career advice from experts. And don’t miss the chance to visit the Photo studio – here you’ll have a unique opportunity to take a professional photo and use it on your LinkedIn profile or CV.

Choose an outfit in which you feel comfortable but look neat and professional. A smart casual style works perfectly – not overly formal but still leaves a good impression. The most important thing is that your clothes are clean, tidy, and help you feel confident when talking to employers.

On the day of the event, the bars on the 0th and 1st floors of Žalgiris Arena will be open from 10:00 to 16:30. There you’ll be able to purchase snacks and drinks, so you definitely won’t stay hungry.

Of course! During the event, you’ll be able to vote for your favorite company booth in the following categories: “The Most WANTed,” “The Most WANTed Friend,” and “The Most WANTed Look.” This is a fun and easy way to share your opinion, and at the end of the event, don’t forget to join the company awards ceremony.

If you have more thoughts about the event, you’ll be able to share them afterwards when we send out a short survey. And if you’d like to dedicate a bit more time, we’ll invite you to join a focus group where you can share your insights in more detail. We look forward to hearing your opinion!

The feedback form will be available after the day of the event.
